The insert pan has curved sides for smooth mixing and blending while the thick encapsulated base on the bottom pan has a magnetic stainless steel base with aluminum core for quick, even heat distribution. The magnetic stainless steel base makes this pan safe to use on induction cooktops. Fully tempered glass lid is oven-safe to 450°F / 230°C and fits both the upper insert and bottom pan.
